All of the on-site instructors are fully certified and experienced full-time professionals (doctor & nurse) from Dong Nai Health Care Centre. The Lecture/Demonstration gives participants an outline of basic First Aid. Upon successful completion of the course and assessment, participants are presented with an Occupational First Aid Certificate.

Practical Training on moving and rescuing the bone fracture victim
Demonstration on “know how?” To bandage obvious deformity of the shoulder & immobilize the fracture, head & facial bleeding involves the use of bandage .
Fire Drill Evacuation was conducted to ensure that employees evacuated the building in a timely manner and know their department’s designated assembly points, which helps the rescue effort in the event an employee in unaccounted for during an actual emergency at operation running hours.


Trainees received instruction in the principles and practical performance of:
Splinting of the lower arm / lower leg and ankle
Practical Training on moving and rescuing including 3 person lifting the victim
First Aiders are trained to perform CPR & treat minor injuries until the arrival of medical or other assistance

About 2,500 garment workers from 19 factories of various locations (HCM City, Dong Nai & Binh Duong province) have participated in Better Work Vietnam’s annual Safety Fun Run at Lucky Square, New City of Binh Duong Province.
A constituent of 100 USV workers participated in this event so as to promote awareness of occupational safety and health among our workforce within USV.
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is an invaluable lifesaving technique useful in many emergencies, including sprains, broken bones, bleeding, fainting / unconscious, heart attack or near drowning, in which someone’s breathing or heartbeat has stopped. We had fully certified and experienced full-time professionals (doctor & nurse) from Dong Nai Health Care Centre on-site to provide theoretical information and the practical skills required to manage an emergency.
40 employees are trained for 1 full day (8 hours) in first aid by the professionals (doctor or nurse) annually. The pool of trained and certified ‘first aiders’ could be called upon during emergencies, to lend their skills to help others!
CPR Practical – Allows instructors to observe the trainees, provide feedback and guide the students’ learning of skills.
Emergency bleeding control – bleeding control techniques are taught as part of First Aid
Bone Fracture – What First Aiders learned & understood about?
- Control any bleeding, if a wound is present
- Immobilize the injured part to reduce pain
- Make the patient comfortable where an ambulance is likely to be delayed.
