The MWE Holdings Berhad Annual General Meeting was held at 846, Jalan Raya, 14209 Sungai Bakap, Seberang Perai Selatan, Pulau Pinang on Monday 4 June 2012 at 10.30am.
the company was pleased to inform that the group’s overall performance of year 2011 was satisfactory during the year amidst global uncertainties. The group recorded revenue of RM501.3 million, up marginally against RM490.0 million in the previous year. However, profit before tax was 20% higher than year 2010, at RM60.7 million against RM50.4 million.

JSA and HIRARC Training
On Feb 16-17 2012, USG Sg. Bakap successfully conducted JSA (Job Safety Analysis) and HIRARC (Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Risk Control) Course.
The core value for this course is to provide Job Safety Analysis for each Job Process and Workflow to each Department. The JSA will provide us a guide to identify potential hazard occur to each work process and situation.
By fill up the table for JSA and HIRARC, each department will become alert and more conscious about safety and precaution also action to be taken if something happen.
In other words we prepared the safety precautions and awareness for all situation and sequences.
The HIRARC will leads us to take an action about Hazard and Potential Hazard and the counter measure to be taken if the Hazard occurs.
In the other hand it is to provide us readiness to counter the Hazard.
Providing HIRARC table at all Department will helps us to manage the Department, to work with the safe way and safe condition.

AGM 2011
Annual General Meeting is conducted on second working day after Chinese New Year holiday, which is on 27th January 2012. There are around 32 key staffs representing various departments from 3 locations (Sungai Bakap, Sungai Petani and Vietnam) participate in the meeting.
In AGM, performance of 2011 had been reviewed. Projection for 2012 and onwards also been discussed. USG had achieved its peak in year 2011 and will continue to aim for another peak.

The day is enriched with the lion dance performances and all the staffs is treated with free lunch.

USG Staff Dinner
After one year of hardworking, all staff are pleased to be treated with an international buffet along the poolside of Flamingo Hotel. It’s the perfect time to toast the possibility of a better year next year and give all staffs a bit of a boost.
All staff 
look chairming and beautiful dressing in polka dots or stripes theme dress. Tan Chee Hoe and Tan Yeng Yeng look fancy and outstanding among all and they are awarded with “BEST DRESS OF THE NITE”.
One of the achievement in year 2011 was that we have been awarded with NOS certificate from our customer. Sungai Bakap achieved 100% certification, while 2 NOS lines in Sungai Petani.
The certification has shown the recognition for our Lean Implementation. It is the team effort which contributed these achievement. Mr. WKOng invite Mr. Tang King Hua to hand over the NOS certificate to all qualify Line Leader. Total 20 lines certificate are being given (18 lines in SB and 2 lines in SP).
At last, wish all a Happy & Prosperous New Year.

We have MAKE IT
Jan 12-13 2012, USG Sg. Bakap successfully conducted Forklift Training and Competency Course. This course was done due to comply Malaysian Law (OSHA) and FMA for using PMV.
Theory
Concentration
USG appointed KST Training Consultant Sdn.Bhd as a Training Provider to provide USG Employee for Forklift Safe Handling and Competency. This two days programmed was divide into two session, theory and practical with examinations. The employees were expose to the standard characteristic and requirement for using the Forklift. Safe Handling and Technique.
Practical
Hand On
Those who passed the theory and practical test were presented as a competence person who can drive the Forklift. Successful participant was issued certificate and permit (License) to drive Forklift and Reach Truck.
Test Drive
Safety is belongs to everybody business and the accident will easily happen at what time and situation. Having licensed and knowledge are not guarantees for us from getting accident. Preventing is better than cure.
Safety is Simple as ABC – Always Be Careful.

What fun it is to ride
In a one-horse open sleigh.
On Friday, USG held it’s annual Christmas party, 2 days before the real Christmas Day. Ms. Goh opened the event by thanking all employees for their hard work throughout the year and hope that she will give us another surprise on beginning of January 2012.
Then, Christmas carols “Jingle Bells”, “Santa Claus Is Coming To Town”, “Silent Night”, “We Wish You A Merry Christmas” are in the air, brightening the festive spirit, and warming the hearts of all employees which sing together and filling the air with exuberance.
It is also the time when parties flourish. Along with over eating and carols, no party would be complete without a bunch of Christmas party games. “Flying Feather” game is played and Mr. Lee Kar Heng has won it. No one is more deserve to win the “Who Am I” game but “Char Sao Pao” – Ms. Low Wei Wei.
Ms. Margerat Tan and Ms. LG Kang take the lead to dance a Line dance called, it is so interesting that gets the entire crowd moving on the dance floor.
Mr. WKOng and Ms. Lau put on the apron and carve the delicious turkey to serve to all.
