All employees were evacuated by their nearest exit and assemble at the point on time (2 minutes 50 sec). All HOD updates their respective departments’ headcounts immediately and no missing person was reported.

ERT team played a good role and team work during the drill.

All HOD done a good job to ensure all employees evacuate from the building as fast as possible and update the attendance. All employees gives a very good support and evacuate the building immediately.

Offline checked with all HODS after the drill, all fire alarms is working fine and can hear clearly.

On 9th September 2016, the ESH committee of USG Sg. Bakap has successfully organized blood donations drive to blood bank of Hospital Seberang Jaya and total 74 of our staff successfully donated the blood. Beside blood donation, there is “Health Talk” conducted by Dr. Nurul Iman from Pusat Kesihatan Seberang Perai Selatan.

The objectives of this program are to raise employees’ awareness of the importance of the blood donation to save life. The “Health Talk” gives very good understanding varies type of non-communicable disease and important of our own healthcare.

Thank you to the management for their commitment and all ESH Committee members who provided full support and cooperation to the event.

The training gives more comprehensive coverage on the understanding and practical guidance as well as the theoretical aspects of first aid based on the concept of prevention.

When someone becomes ill or injured, there is usually a short period of time before we can get professional medical assistance. It is that length of time that is most critical to the victim. What we do, or don’t do during that period of time can make the difference between life and death.

It has been shown that proper initial handling of the accident victims contributes significantly to the final outcome and often determines if a life could be saved. This program will impart the basic practical knowledge of First Aid to achieve the objectives.
• To respond to emergencies safely
• Understand basic first aid principles and its procedures
• To recognize, assess and support the most common emergencies until professional help arrives
• Be aware of the importance of proper safety procedures
• Identify common injuries at the work place and how to deal with them

There was an fabricated fault and we have had purposely jamming the door lock, though the door could not be opened, there were some employees waited. ESH committee members has directed them to dispersed through other doors. We educate them to reach to the nearest exit and evacuated and do not attempted to fix the door if the lock is faulty.

All employees has dispersed and assembled and all Lines Supervisor have respectively reported the own manpower present for the day to the Fire Warden Chief, Mr. Aseri Bin Azizan. Later, one person was reported missing. The missing person is attached to the Metal Detection Section. With the assistance by the Fire Fighting Team leaded by Mr. Tanabalan, the victim was found stranded and he was brought to a safe area for treatment. He has suffered with some minor injury.

The fire drill evacuation was conducted on 16th December 2011 and the time keeper has recorded a duration of 2 min 15 second when the last person stepped into the assembly area. (The maximum time for any evacuation is 3 minutes).

Beside the blood donation campaign, the medical representatives from Klinik Kesihatan Bandar, Sungai Petani (Vector Control and PAP SMEAR Test) have accepted the invitation and their presence have make the campaign heavier felt by the employees.

The event was opened by Mr. CHAng (Vice Chairman of ESH Committee USG SP). All activities was carried out smoothly, the dengue prevention, pap smear were held at the canteen and the sick room respectively, whereas the blood donors were directed to assemble at the Packing Department in groups so as not to disrupt the rhythm of the production flow.

End of the day, the blood bank have registered a collection of 77 bags after their hard day work.
